Ahimsa or nonviolence is one of the yamas, which is part of the eight limbs of yoga as described by the ancient Indian yogi, Patanjali over two thousand years ago in his yoga sutras. Like you we are seekers. We desire to have a deeper understanding of self and others. It is our hope to share all that we learn to develop a deep understanding of yoga together. All are welcome here with love and kindness. We hope that you will be inspired to walk the yogic path with us. We wish you well.
Our goal is to share yoga and the yogic concept of ahimsa to promote well-being. We offer information to help us practice living a joyful life through compassion and kindness. As we grow, we hope to offer free online asana practice, meditation, plant-based recipes, and articles on mind science. All are welcome.
Hello Friends:
My name is Nicole Brown. I came to yoga to learn how to share meditation with my academic students. I found a path of growth and self-discovery. Yoga has changed me for the better. I am so excited to share my journey with you. At this point in time, my favorite posture is low lunge.
Hello, My name is Tasai Vasquez: assistant editor of Ahimsa newsletter. My interests include writing, traveling, wellness, and yoga. A few years ago I was introduced to yoga. What I like about yoga is that it involves appreciating life and respecting oneself. Breathing is a gift, so let's slow down and cherish it.
